Strike me!

We had a team Ten Pin Bowling lunch today.  Bowl ‘n’ Bite I think they called it. (Bite being the operative word because it wasn’t exactly what you’d call a meal.)

Anyway the six of us; Pete, Iain, Mark, Helene and our new creative placement team, Ruth and David, headed off for a spot of competitive R and R.

On the way Pete admitted that he played in the Wembley Youth Ten Pin Bowling League as a lad, but had “Never got a 300″ which, of course implied that he’d got pretty bloody close.

So the destination of the trophy was never in any doubt, especially when Iain revealed he had “Never played before” and went on to demonstrate that he was  indeed telling the truth;  David demonstrated extreme girl-like tendencies with a bowling ball in his hands and the girls empathised with him.

(He was a true gentleman though, allowing both of them to kick sand in his face.)

So that only left the mighty Gormo to take on ‘King Pin’.

90 minutes later, Mill had scraped his way to victory courtesy of a triple strike in the tenth frame at the end of the third and final game.

As the scorecard shows it was tighter than Pete, Iain and Mark’s undergarments.
